HireFrancoTalent ("we", "us", or "our") is an online talent acquisition marketplace connecting Canadian employers with French-speaking professionals, primarily from Cameroon, under Canada's Francophone Mobility Program (C16). Our platform is operated from Tennessee, United States.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including: name, email address, phone number, resume and professional documents, job preferences and work history, payment information (processed securely by Stripe), and communications you send us. We also collect information automatically when you use our platform: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and usage patterns via standard server logs.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: operate and improve the HireFrancoTalent platform; match candidates with employer job postings; process payments for candidate unlocks and placement deposits; send transactional emails (job interest notifications, account confirmations); comply with legal obligations under U.S. and Canadian law; and prevent fraud and ensure platform security.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows: with employers, when a candidate's profile is unlocked via a paid transaction; with Stripe, our payment processor, to handle financial transactions; with email service providers to deliver transactional messages; and with law enforcement or regulators when required by applicable law.
5. Candidate Profile Visibility
Candidate last names, email addresses, phone numbers, and documents are hidden by default on the Talent Marketplace. Employers must complete a paid unlock ($250 CAD per candidate) to access this information. Candidates consent to this disclosure by creating a profile on the platform.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Employer placement records are retained for a minimum of 6 years to comply with Canadian immigration employer compliance requirements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at legal@hirefrancotalent.com.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), secure payment processing via Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant), and access controls limiting who can view personal data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Residents of certain U.S. states (including California under CCPA) and individuals in Canada (under PIPEDA) may have additional rights. 9. Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your session and language preference. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect platform functionality.
10. International Data Transfers
Our platform serves users in the United States, Canada, and Cameroon. By using HireFrancoTalent, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States, where our servers are located. We apply appropriate safeguards to protect your data in accordance with applicable law.
11. Children's Privacy
HireFrancoTalent is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
